Charles Underwood

Charles Underwood is a respected global banker within the financial services industry for well over 20 years. He has worked in leadership roles for UBS, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse First Boston, JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank. He is the leader of Barclays’s Business Continuity division, where he is responsible for the development and execution of group’s business continuity policies, governance and assurance across all business units on a global basis.

Charles’s previous roles included leading business operations in the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific region covering investment banking, consumer banking, corporate banking, securities and trading and private banking services.

When bankers’ reputation is at an all time low, Charles is recognised as one of the few trusted global bankers in the financial services industry. He brings with him deep industry knowledge, insights, leadership of diverse cultures and wisdoms. Charles worked and lived in many countries and speaks fluent Japanese.
